How are you planning to use your degree? Work with the owners to grow the farm and teach the public about agriculture. Then start a farm of my own.
List clubs, activities, or groups you participated in while in school. Agricultural Institute Ambassador, Delta Tau Alpha Honor Society, SOUL Garden, Horticulture Club
Whom do you want to thank? Thank you to my advisors Lee Ivy and Melissa Hendrickson for helping me navigate classes and an internship that is now my job. I appreciate Kayla for being so helpful even before I was a student at AGI. Thank you to Alyssa for always being so positive on our early morning ambassador zooms. Last but not least, Alease for the hard work in the office to make our time as students worth every minute.
What is the best thing about studying at NC State and the Agricultural Institute? The best part of college was the opportunity to learn through hands-on experience. I remember my first lab as a freshman going to the arboretum and thinking to myself this is how all students should learn. I was able to apply what I learn in class to real-world situations. Not to mention, working alongside amazing professors and researchers who clearly love ag as much as I do.
